When you are planning to sell your home, an empty house feels cold and doesn’t show its actual potential. That is where we come in. We select pieces that fit each room to be staged in such a way that it feels spacious and cozy at the same time. Less is more: we don’t overdo it when it comes to accessories.
In the photo above we selected a stylish dining table and bold dining chairs. Neutral napkins and place mats create a handsome contrast and the look is finished with soft sage colored table settings, a warm bamboo center bowl, and -to bring in the “bling” factor- some silver napkin holders. An original soft pastel portrait on the wall creates sophistication and style, and a simple copper tray anchors the look. Now potential home buyers can imagine themselves at that table, yet when they come during open house they won’t be distracted by small items but always be pointed to the larger picture, the actual “bones” and architectural features of your home.
Staging a house takes about a week to do. We typically work with rental furniture and bring in beautiful table settings, bedding, art and accessories. And our staging doesn’t stop there: we come in occasionally to check and make sure everything looks beautiful, and once the term of staging is over, we dismantle and clear the house so that the new home owners can move in.
Of course we can also work with your own furniture. In that case, we select which pieces to use and will ask you to move everything else out of the house before we bring in accessories and finish the look. Sometimes we also advise you to change some wall colors. Our main and only objective is to show your home at its very best, so that it sells fast and favorably.
We offer complimentary first meetings, to look at your home and evaluate what is needed. Our staging fees: $175 per room for the first three rooms and $150 for each additional room for our design and labor. Kitchen and Bathrooms are included at no cost. Rental of furniture and accessories is additional. Not included in our fee: repairs, painting of walls/doors/etc., yard work and cleaning but we can bring in our crews to help you with that. For a cost estimate we charge a nominal fee of $100 which is deducted from our staging fee when you hire us.
Contact us anytime at (310) 291-4362 if you’d like to meet for a first complimentary meeting and we look forward to help you with your next staging project!
