Make a feature wall that is a reflection of who you are and that wows every time you enter the room. Creating a personalized art wall looks easy, but actually requires some planning. Start with existing pieces that you love, including old frames or art that you would like to incorporate. Now measure the width and height of the wall where the art wall will be installed. This tells you how much room you have to play with, and the sizes of the individual art pieces that you will be adding. Make a selection of prints that speak to you and have some fun with it! Allow for about 2″ wall space in between each piece. This will help you determine the widths of the frames. Before running to the frame store, make a mock-up on paper – this will help you visualize and make changes if necessary. When selecting frames, mix it up: use different frames that bring life and interest. And finally: measure twice before putting a nail in the wall. Enjoy!
